When I formulate something for SIOL Skincare, I want to know what it actually does over time—not just what an ingredient is supposed to do on paper.
That is what makes this particular four-month progression so exciting for me.
The before-and-after photographs in this post are of my husband. At the beginning, the hair across the top and crown of his head was extremely thin. A significant amount of scalp was visible, especially through the center and crown.
We began consistently using SIOL Copper Peptide Scalp Therapy Spray, and over the following four months I continued photographing his scalp so that we could actually compare the changes instead of relying on memory.
Four months later, the difference is difficult to miss.
What Changed After Four Months?
Looking at the photographs side by side, his hair appears:
- Fuller across the crown
- Denser through previously sparse areas
- Longer and more developed
- More evenly distributed across the scalp
- Thicker-looking overall
- Healthier and more defined in its natural curl pattern
There is still visible scalp, and I would never claim that four months completely reverses significant hair thinning. But compared with where we started, the amount of additional hair coverage is very encouraging.
And these are his actual photographs.
No stock photos. No substitute models. No overnight transformation.
Just four months of consistent use.
Why I Formulated SIOL Copper Peptide Scalp Therapy
Healthy-looking hair starts with the environment surrounding the hair follicle.
That is why I didn’t want to create another product that simply coated the hair and made it temporarily look shinier. I wanted a scalp-focused formula.
The centerpiece of the formula is GHK-Cu, commonly known as a copper peptide.
Copper peptides have become especially interesting in cosmetic hair and skin formulations because they are used to support the appearance and condition of the scalp and skin.
My goal with SIOL Copper Peptide Scalp Therapy was to combine that science with carefully selected botanical ingredients that help condition and nourish the scalp.
The result is a lightweight spray designed to become part of a regular scalp-care routine.
Consistency Matters
One of the most important things this four-month experiment reinforced for me is that hair care requires patience.
Hair does not transform in a week.
When you’re looking in the mirror every day, small changes can also be almost impossible to notice. That is why photographs are so valuable.
When I compared the earlier photographs with the four-month photographs, I could finally see just how much had changed.
If you are beginning any new hair or scalp routine, take clear photographs before you start. Try to photograph the same areas, from similar angles and under similar lighting.
Then give the process time.
Why Scalp Care Is So Important
We spend enormous amounts of money taking care of the hair that we can see, yet the scalp is often ignored.
The scalp is skin.
Product buildup, dryness, excess oil, irritation, environmental exposure, and an unhealthy scalp environment can all affect how the hair looks and feels.
A good scalp routine should focus on keeping the scalp clean, comfortable, conditioned, and supported without weighing the hair down.
That philosophy is at the heart of SIOL Copper Peptide Scalp Therapy.
The SIOL Philosophy: Science Meets Nature
SIOL Skincare was built around a simple principle: I don’t believe science and nature have to compete with one another.
Some of the most interesting cosmetic formulations come from combining modern cosmetic ingredients with carefully chosen plant-derived ingredients.
I formulate SIOL products in small batches with intention. I want to know why an ingredient is in a formula and what purpose it serves.
The goal isn’t to throw dozens of trendy ingredients into a bottle.
The goal is to create a thoughtful formula that people will actually want to use consistently.
Our Four-Month Results
The photographs tell the story better than I ever could.
Before: substantial thinning across the top and crown with significant visible scalp.
After four months: noticeably greater coverage, longer and fuller-looking hair, more curl definition, and a significant visual improvement in overall density.
Will everyone experience exactly the same result?
No.
Hair thinning has many possible causes, including genetics, age, hormones, medications, nutrition, illness, stress, and other factors. Cosmetic products also affect individuals differently.
But this is the result we saw in our own home after four months of consistent use—and I’m incredibly excited to finally share the progression.
Final Thoughts
One of the reasons I created SIOL was because I wanted products rooted in thoughtful formulation rather than exaggerated promises.
I would rather show you four months of real photographs than promise you a miracle in four days.
For us, this progression has been remarkable to watch.
And we’re not finished yet.
We’ll continue documenting his hair so we can see what happens over the coming months.
